A Message from the Town Council President:
To the residents of Jamestown,
On behalf of my fellow Council members and all of the residents of Jamestown, I want to wish you all safety and good health as we all do our part to fight this pandemic and keep our neighbors safe. I also want to commend all of the residents of Jamestown for doing all that you can to help stop the spread of the COVID-19 virus and for stepping up and helping those with needs. I am proud of everyone and proud to call Jamestown my home.
I want to take this time to remind everyone that the best way to stop this virus in its tracks is to follow the CDC and WHO guidelines. Please follow the social distancing guidelines and do your best to stay home and isolated as best you can.
I send a special thought of gratitude to our public safety teams, utility officials and town staff for embracing their role as essential employees and working through tough conditions to keep you safe, healthy and provided with continuous police, fire, ems, water, sewer and electric service.
Last but certainly not least, I would like to commend those doctors and nurses working on the front lines of this battle. You are the heroes and I thank you!
This town has set up a COVID-19 Resources page to provide you with as much timely information as possible. I hope that it will be a helpful community resource.
Dave Phelps, Jamestown Town Council President
