5-4-2020 Meeting Agenda (This meeting will take place via teleconference)

Special Meeting 1/28/2020 at 7 PM to Discuss Hometown Take Over You are invited to join us for an update meeting discussing our entry in the HGTV Home Town Takeover contest.  Entries must be in by February 7th so there is no time to lose.  We will have one more meeting before we finalize our entry, most likely late next week.

This will require all of our community organizations to work together to come up with the best photos and video to showcase our town and the revitalization it needs.  I have attached a couple of links that provide more information about the contest.

If you have never watched Home Town on HGTV, look it up and watch an episode or two.  Ben and Erin could help do wonders for our town.

Grab a friend (or even an enemy) and bring them to tonight’s meeting at the Town Building.  We would like each and every person to enter the contest on our behalf.  The more interested people, the better.

Here’s the link to enter the contest:  https://hgtvhometowntakeover.com/

It’s a very simple online form that asks for your name, email address, town being nominated with population (950), paragraph to tell about the town, add up to 5 photos and a short video.  That’s it!  If you need help submitting your entry, we have volunteers willing to help and we have photos to use as well.

FYI, I know this is a long shot and that many towns around the country will be entering the contest.  While we may be smaller, we are mighty!  Let’s all join forces and put our best foot forward.
